As a global, private equity-backed corporate business, we operate at a fast pace with demanding customers, supplying into the construction, healthcare, and education markets.

Position: Regional Sales Director / Operations Director

In this role, you will oversee approximately £80 million P&L across the North-West of England, demonstrating collaborative leadership and strategic awareness with a balanced sales and operations background.

Salary: £110,000 – £130,000 + 30% STIP

Job Description

As a Regional Sales and Operations Director, you will direct operational and strategic initiatives within your region, ensuring smooth operations and driving significant growth. A candidate with strong commercial acumen, strategic planning skills, and experience in process transformation is ideal.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage commercial operations of 4-6 depot locations, with circa £80 million P&L and £30 million EBITDA.
  2. Lead, coach, and motivate a team of 7-10 direct and numerous indirect colleagues, focusing on development and succession planning.
  3. Implement sales strategies to achieve profitable growth with key clients, including major construction contractors.
  4. Promote a safety-first culture, leading transformational change emphasizing safety, quality, and service.
  5. Operate within a high-performance environment with high expectations and rewards.

Person Specification

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing or related industries, such as construction, food, automotive, or pharmaceuticals, preferably within larger corporations.
  • Leadership of teams of 5-10 direct and 60+ indirect reports.
  • Approachable, knowledgeable management style with high visibility and accountability.
  • Control of a £20 million+ P&L with a focus on profitable growth.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement, transformational change, and M&A integration.
