Position: Network Architect

Location: Leicester or Hursley – onsiteActive SC clearance requiredInside IR35

• Network Architect for on-premises critical national infrastructure solution leading a mix of network new build, tech refresh, and live service activities.
• Working with networking infrastructure including Cisco switches, firewalls, routers, ISE, F5 load-balancers, Juniper SRX, and SolarWinds monitoring.
• Knowledge of a wide range of networking concepts and technologies including:
• IPSec – site to site
• Layer 2 e.g. STP, VPC, VLAN, OTV
• Layer 3 e.g. IP, VRF, OSPF, QoS, IDS, HSRP, GRE
• F5 LTM, Big DNS (GTM)
• CCNP level understanding

Responsibilities include:

• Documenting solutions into HLDs and LLDs, overseeing overall network configuration management.
• Providing networking leadership within the organization and for the client when required.
• Evaluating networking technology choices to address client requirements.
• Promoting best practices, standardization, security, policies, and automation.
• Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Coaching and mentoring the wider networks team.
