Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to join our Global Procurement team. The role involves supporting different categories of indirect spend across various geographies. The ideal candidate will have experience in procuring services, driving change in decentralized organizations, and employing a data-driven approach to procurement. The role requires a results-oriented, strategic thinker who can work effectively with diverse international teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support AECOM’s Think & Act Global strategy by developing new category sourcing strategies across multiple regions.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and determine appropriate sourcing strategies, from renegotiations to full RFP processes.
- Utilize data analysis to identify opportunities for leveraging spend across geographies through alternative supply approaches.
- Lead strategic sourcing projects, manage RFX processes, and ensure contracts deliver cost savings, quality, and service improvements.
- Plan commercial outcomes for sourcing projects, including baseline analysis, strategy development, and targeted savings identification.
- Build strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and establish Sourcing as a trusted advisor.
- Use procurement technology and data to enhance sourcing efficiency and stakeholder service quality.
- Manage supplier relationships for strategic suppliers, monitor KPIs, and address performance issues to sustain value.
- Collaborate with Source-to-Pay process owners to improve procurement efficiencies and compliance.
- Support the development of the Global Procurement team by sharing best practices and demonstrating high standards of delivery.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree plus at least 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Strong skills in strategic sourcing, including data analysis, RFX management, negotiation, and contract drafting.
- Commercial acumen with experience in cost savings across categories of indirect spend.
- Proven track record of achieving cost savings through strategic and tactical initiatives.
- Ability to engage and influence global stakeholders, respecting regional and cultural differences.
