Position: Cloud Security Network Engineer

Job Overview:

We need a Cloud Security Network Engineer with expertise in securing cloud environments (AWS preferred) for a financial client. You will be responsible for monitoring security threats, conducting audits, ensuring compliance, and improving cloud security strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, detect, and respond to security threats.
• Conduct internal security audits and ensure compliance with ISO 27001.
• Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities across networks, applications, and databases.
• Provide security support to Managed Services teams and business projects.
• Engage with customers and auditors to demonstrate security controls.
• Ensure system changes do not introduce security risks.

Requirements:

• Experience securing cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Prior role as a Cyber Security Officer or similar in a large organization.
• Strong knowledge of vulnerability assessments, networking, and OS hardening.
• Awareness of cyber threats and security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Security certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, AWS/Cloud certs).
• Experience with Rapid7 InsightVM, InsightIDR, or enterprise database security.
• Familiarity with UK financial regulations and banking IT operations.
