Credit Analyst Main Responsibilities:

  • To analyse customers’ financial situations
  • To prepare credit applications (new deals, amendments, and renewals) and rating applications
  • Documentation preparation and review process
  • Credit monitoring & administration including monitoring/internal reporting in accordance with the Bank’s procedures (e.g. Problem loans reporting, inspection/audit requirement, etc)

Other:

  • Ad hoc support for customers and RMs

Compliance responsibilities:

  • Read, understand and comply with Branch Compliance Manual
  • Be up to date with Anti-Money Laundering training and any other regulatory trainings
  • Have signed the required compliance undertakes
  • Report promptly any identified compliance or money laundering risks or breaches to the Compliance Department and/or the JGM

Credit Analyst Ideal Candidate:

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of commercial banking is essential
  • Fluency in English and Japanese
  • Good credit analytical skills
  • Good knowledge of Corporate Finance, Project Finance, Trade Finance, and Treasury
  • Good analysis skills B/S, PL, Cash Flow, Credit Rating, Credit applications
  • Good knowledge of MiFID II and Financial Crime
  • Maintain a good level of accuracy when handling
  • Good time management and able to meet deadlines
  • Achieve timely credit approvals
  • Minimise reporting/procedural errors
  • Meet compliance responsibilities in the reporting period
  • Understanding of the overall development of the portfolio
  • Understanding of risks associated with the department’s key industry sectors
