Our client is seeking a Senior Associate to join their non-contentious Restructuring and Insolvency team based in Birmingham. What you’ll do

As a Senior Associate in the Restructuring & Insolvency team, your role will be pivotal in providing expert legal advice from all types of insolvency processes, sales, and purchases from insolvency. You will:

  • Act for creditors, lenders, insolvency practitioners and companies on insolvency, rescue and restructuring matters.
  • Work with lenders and insolvency practitioners on non-contentious insolvency matters such as administrations, liquidations, other insolvency processes, pre-pack insolvencies.
  • Advising on review of security and debt advisory work.
  • Delivering excellent advice on a broad range of issues including administration and receivership appointments, asset disposals by administrators/liquidators including pre-packaged solutions.
  • Advising on the validity of secured lender’s security.
  • Providing refinancing and fundraising advice.
  • Advising Banks and other financial institutions on their enforcement strategy including insolvency options.

What you bring:

As a Senior Associate you will bring a wealth of experience in dealing with creditors, lenders, insolvency practitioners, and companies on a full range of insolvency, rescue, and restructuring matters. You will:

  • Be a UK qualified Solicitor with circa 2-6 years PQE in Restructuring & Insolvency matters.
  • Have a clear-thinking approach to problem solving.
  • Have the ability to provide advice in a straightforward and practical manner.
  • Understand the importance of teamwork and engage in business development.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
