Portfolio Manager – Head of EU Gas & Power Trading

Based in London, Geneva, or Dubai

A US-based leading and globally recognized multi-strategy hedge fund is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager and Head of Gas & Power Trading to join their London-based team.

This PM will be responsible for building the Power Trading strategy and platform from inception as part of a new pod.

Summary:

The PM will be tasked with portfolio construction for the power trading desk.

1. Candidates are expected to have an excellent track record in risk-taking and P&L.
2. Candidates should demonstrate consistent and highly profitable returns in annual discretionary trading.
3. Develop and execute actionable speculative trading commodity strategies where you will be responsible for portfolio construction, risk management, trading strategy, etc.
4. Work closely with colleagues to devise and execute strategies, including collaboration with fundamental and quantitative analytics, data scientists, and junior trading members.
5. Monitor portfolio risk.
6. Manage and lead junior members of the team.

Background:

15+ years of experience with demonstrated success outside of a system or asset base.

Ideal candidates will have experience within a trading house, investment bank, hedge fund, asset management, or related fields.
