JOB – QHSE Manager

LOCATION – Slough

TERM – Permanent

SALARY – £45,000 to £55,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is working with a leading engineering company based in Slough that is looking to hire a QHSE Manager. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in quality, health & safety, and environmental management within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

The QHSE Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

  • A relevant qualification in Quality, Health & Safety, or Environmental Management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO Lead Auditor).
  • Proven experience in a QHSE management role within an engineering or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Experience in conducting audits, risk assessments, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance.
  • Ability to develop and maintain QHSE policies and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of the business.

The QHSE Manager role will involve:

  • Managing and improving the company's QHSE systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Leading internal and external audits and ensuring ISO certifications are maintained.
  • Conducting risk assessments, implementing corrective actions, and driving a strong safety culture.
  • Providing training and guidance on QHSE policies and best practices.
  • Investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing preventative measures.
  • Working closely with senior management to align QHSE strategies with business goals.
  • Ensuring environmental and sustainability objectives are met.
