Senior Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP CO Functional Consultant to join our I&T Department in Cape Town. You will play a lead role in the design, implementation and support of CO projects for one of the largest retailers in South Africa.

Minimum requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT or related field
2. 5-7 years of experience in a management accounting function
3. SAP CO Certification preferred
4. CIMA Qualification preferred
5. Proven experience in SAP CO module implementation and support
6. Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles
7. Knowledge of at least 3 of the following SAP modules: FI, MM, AA, SD, PS, and PM
8. Retail industry experience

Responsibilities

1. Manage and deliver SAP CO solutions, including configuration, testing, and support
2. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into functional specifications
3. Provide expertise in SAP CO modules, including Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and Product Costing
4. Conduct system testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality of the solutions delivered
5. Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective utilization of SAP CO functionalities
6. Work closely with other SAP functional consultants and technical teams to ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules
7. Stay updated with the latest SAP CO developments and best practices to continuously improve our systems and processes
